Authorities heard the message from inside and outside South Sudan, and on July 29th, Magai was removed from death row.

Magai has expressed his thanks to you and all who took action to save his life: “To Amnesty, tell them that I am so happy and grateful for what they have done to me and my family… I’m so blissful and blessed to have them as a support for my life and freedom.”
